Great Printer

I ordered this printer a month or two ago and wanted to wait a bit before I reviewed it. It worked perfectly out-of-the box and took less that 15 min to get set up on my wireless network. Now I enjoy printing from my desktop, iPads, and even using Google Cloud Printing. My only knock is that the ink cartridges that come with the product run out quickly but I think they only send you demo ones to cut down on cost. If you are looking for a new printer and want wireless from multiple platforms, this is the way to go!

Ink will put me in the poorhouse

I purchased this HP because the last printer I owned was an HP and worked great for years. This 6100 HP goes through its ink cartridges practically weekly. I'm not printing photos or anything crazy. Also when I put in a new cartridge it will not print correctly until I run the clean print cartridges feature a couple times which is another horrible waste of ink. The ink cartridges are expensive and very very small. What you saved on this printer you will spend exponentially on print cartridges. It's the worst printer I have ever owned. Shame on HP for this product, I expect a lot better from this company.

All around terrible printer

I purchased this printer because I wanted a simple device that did one function well. First off, the printer for being solely a printer is enormous. After setting it up it will inundate your computer with random unnecessary shortcuts on the desktop and a myriad of warnings leading you to the HP website. The printer is incredibly loud making an enormous racket before every print. The wireless connection also drops fairly regular, so you will have to plug it in if you don't want to wait till it decides to start working again.
The most perplexing aspect of this printer is by far the ink situation. I only the I print are invoices in "black-ink only" mode, However, the printer has never printed exclusively in black ink and uses all of the colors to print black. The result is that the color runs out very quickly with theoretically having never used it. And once it's gone, the printer will refuse to print using the black ink cartridge. Which means very expensive emergency trips to the office supply store.
Certainly wish all the bad reviews for this thing were on Amazon when I made my purchase. Steer very clear of this giant headache.
