Poor quality circuitry - bad after 18 months of use.

Worked great for 18 months, nice output, easy to network. Then, 6 months out of warranty, the main board goes bad - approximately $800 to replace, with labor. No abuse, always on surge protection, no reason to go bad.
I have other HP Laserjets that are nearly 10 years old, and except for a period when HP wasn't updating the drivers for Mac OS, they are still performing flawlessly.
I will be writing to HP to complain and ask for some kind of allowance, but if none is given, then this is the last HP I will purchase. I cannot afford a $1300 printer that dies after 18 months of moderate use, no matter how nicely it functions during that time.

I love HP printers!

This printer is excellent! It is superb. We own many HP printers and we do not any problems. Very reliable and sturdy.
