Costumer review

4Great One Function Printer
By Joe
We bought this printer to replace a home-office printer of another brand that had become too costly to maintain. We moved to Epson because we were very disappointed in the low reliability and high maintenance cost of the name brand printer it replaced. Our initial ordering experience was a disaster. The printer was supplied by an Amazon partner and when it arrived we discovered severe water damage throughout the packing and the printer was rusted and corroded top to bottom. The printer box had been opened and repackaged in a manner that the water damage was not visible from the outside. The shipper/partner refused to provide return shipping and thus began our saga working with Amazon customer service. We only selected this Amazon partner as a supplier because the price was less than Amazon direct and the other partners offering this printer. I cannot say enough excellent and amazing things about Amazon Customer Service except that it is the best anywhere in the world. Period!

We repackaged the the water damaged printer and returned it to the supplier at our cost. Amazon shipped another printer immediately and made us whole on the entire sale. No other firm I know has a Customer Service Department that goes the extra miles and miles that Amazon does when an order goes really bad as this one started to be.

As for the printer, it seems to function as advertised. We love the built-in e-mail and AirPrint features. One point to note: This is not a LAN wireless printer. It requires an Ethernet connection to a router. The AirPrint feature is wireless in that your can print from an iPhone or iPad, but the printer requires a hardwired connection to a LAN to function.
